Welcome, the Museum is open from 10am to 4pm daily
(except Good Friday & Christmas Day).
It is just a 5 minute drive from the centre of Blenheim and has plenty of free parking available.
The Museum archives are open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, or by appointment.
The Marlborough Provincial Museum complex at Brayshaw Park houses a huge range of artifacts, images, documents and displays relating to local history. Enjoy regular showings of local & international showings filmed history, in our modern Audio Visual Theatre. Stroll the streets of 'Beavertown' a replica village in the style of early Blenheim.
At Brayshaw Park we also have the Blenheim Riverside Railway which runs from the station at Brayshaw Park (near the Marlborough Museum) to Beaver Station and returns. The train operates on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of the month and departs at 1:45pm and 3pm. Contact Dave on 578 9442 or John on 578 1621.
The Marlborough Museum also has a Heritage Education (HE) programme that provides unique hands-on experiences of life in earlier times for school children of today. The HE programme is staffed by John Orchard (Senior Teacher) and Cynthia Rangi (Primary Teacher) and is part of the Learning Experiences Outside the Classroom (LEOTC) programme.

The Edwin Fox is a historic ship built in 1853 inCalcutta. The Edwin Fox Maritime Centre is open every day from 8.45am to 5pm (in the Summer until 6:30) at Dunbar Wharf, which is only a two minute walk along the foreshore from the Cook Strait Ferry terminal in Picton.

Canterbury Museum, located in Christchurch is a treasure trove to be explored. Its collections have engaged and delighted visitors from all over the world for more than 130 years. Entry is free though donations are happily accepted.
